Welcome to My Window!

Greetings, and Happy 2018!

As I reflect back on 2017, it was a year full of a lot of good, a lot of bad, and a lot of changes.  Of course, most years are that way, aren't they?  I'll focus on the good and the changes it brought into my life and business.  This will forever be the year I started working my Virtual Assistance business full time!  Yay!! Being a VA has been a dream of mine for close to 20 years now, and in 2013 I decided it was time to prove to myself I could do it.  I took and successfully completed the Virtual Mentoring Program through AssistU, and became part of the most amazing online VA community in the world!  I owe my eternal gratitude to Anastacia Brice for mentoring and coaching me through the program and the start-up of my business.

Fast forward to 2017, and the year started as the past 11 had, by me working in a local law office.  I had 2 clients with whom I did work on a part-time basis, and a mentor/intern/friend VA, Susan Sullivan, who had me doing some work with her.  She offered me an opportunity to start moving toward working my business and, in June, I left my legal assistant job to be a full time Virtual Assistant!  It's been an amazing adventure, at times long and difficult, but one I wouldn't change or do differently for all the money in the world!  (Well, OK, maybe some of the money!)

As I started looking toward 2018 and what that would look like for my business, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and create a blog.  You are reading the inaugural message!  For now, the theme is going to be generalized, just my views and opinions on whatever may strike my fancy.  I hope, since you're reading this, you will continue to follow me on the ride of my first full year as a VA!  I may write about personal things, some business things, and some random things.  One thing you won't get from me are political or religious views, or anything considered to have two or more divisive sides.  There's enough of that in the world; I won't add to it.

I will be adding my blog to my website later in the year, as I am in the process of revamping and updating (including moving it to WordPress!), and I will be collecting email addresses for people who would like to receive newsletters from me, which will include my blog.  You can reach me by going to my contact page on my website, sending me an email, and put "add me!" in the subject line.  I will put you on my mailing list!

Until next time!
